Allegheny Cemetery is one of Pittsburgh’s largest green spaces. As a historic rural cemetery, the landscape features rolling hills and many wooded areas to encourage a connection to nature despite its location within the city of Pittsburgh. It’s a non-sectarian burial ground and home to the remains of recognizable Pittsburgh names like Biddle, Roup, and Negley.
This unique cork topographic map is made of layers of cork cut and stacked to reveal the terrain of the landscape. It’s attached to an 8″x10″ frame so it can be hung on the wall or displayed on a tabletop.
