One of the most iconic views of any of the eleven Finger Lakes can be caught from the Harriet Hollister Spencer Recreation Area which overlooks Honeoye Lake. A busy lake for boating, Honeoye is nothing like its undeveloped neighbors, Hemlock and Canadice. These two lakes are completely uninhabited as they provide drinking water to the City of Rochester.
Our highly-accurate topographic maps are made by cutting out thin layers of either cherry or maple wood and then stacking them one on top of the other to reveal the true-to-life relief of the landscape. The finished wood is then mounted to a teal backer.
These maps are professionally framed using all acid free, archival quality materials in an 8″x10″ modern black frame with a warm white mat, keeping it preserved for years to come.
Because these maps are handmade out of thin layers of wood, the woodgrain will vary from one map to another and we encourage you to avoid hanging them in direct sunlight or potentially damp areas.
